As well as our Sunday services, there are a variety of activities throughout the week.
House Groups
Several house groups meet twice a month or weekly on various week nights or during the day, for fellowship, prayer and study at various locations around Newcastle. They’re designed to help people to grow spiritually and to deepen friendships with others. Contact us through the ‘contact us’ option above, or email us at enquiry@newcastlebaptist.org.uk – we’d love to help you get involved with a house group!
Prayer
Prayer is a feature of church life, through our monthly “Prayer and Praise” evening service specifically focusing on our mission partners working overseas and in the UK; our monthly “The Lord’s Favour” prayer and praise evening service focusing on the needs of our nation; our fortnightly ladies’ prayer meeting; and the availability of our new prayer room for individual or group prayer. If you would value meeting regularly to pray with two other people we can also help you to establish a prayer triplet.
Warm Welcome Space
On Thursday mornings the church is open from 10am-12pm for free refreshments and optional activities such as quizzes and games. A chance to be warm and make new friends.
Thursday Night Football
On Thursday evenings a number of people from the church meet up at Staffordshire University to play football. It’s a light-hearted game and the tackles are even lighter! Contact Tom Watts / Louie Bester for more details.
Cafe Link
We run a weekly café on Friday mornings – 10am-12pm – for fresh coffee, teacakes and fellowship. “Crafty Friday” happens on the first Friday of the month from 10.30am-11.30am – a chance to learn a new skill!
There are a large number of other opportunities for the church family to get to know each other better through one-off events – bbq’s, breakfasts and lunches, walks, curries and more! Check out our online diary to find out what’s on (coming soon).
